Modeling the boundary conditions of guided modes of an optical waveguide with artificial neural networks

Abstract

In this study, the boundary conditions of guided TE and TM modes of a bare and slab optical waveguide are modeled using artificial neural networks. Multiple layer perceptron model results show good agreement with analytical ones.
