National Struggle with folk songs

Abstract

Folk songs, which have an important place in the oral culture of Turkish folk literature, have been widely used both in prehistoric times and throughout history with their ease of transmission and retention.Although they have an individual side, folk songs that dominate the social features are the exact reflections of the culture.Folk songs, which mirror all the feelings of the society, from sadness to joy, can also serve as a source when examined with historical integrity.In this study, an analysis was made on the inner world of the people through some folk songs that were sung during the National Struggle, in which individuals were included regardless of language, religion, race, gender, age.
