Abstract
In this study, which was conducted using qualitative research method and case study design, it was aimed to discover people’s attitudes towards school culture. Research data were collected from the school principal, vice principals, teachers and students. Within the scope of the study, the data obtained through documents, observation and interview were analyzed. History, location, architectural features of the school, principal’s room, teachers’ room, hanging paintings in the corridors, exhibited medals and awards, students’ attire, the school’s mission and vision statements, the quality of communication between school members, projects carried out at the school, celebrations, and stories as part of school culture and legends were studied. According to the results obtained in the study, it has been determined that there is a strong school culture in the school, that success does not only come to the fore in the academic dimension, and that it contributes to the multi-faceted development of individuals. It has been observed that students take an active role in the projects carried out and they are clearly the transmitters of the culture. In addition, it has been observed that the school principal occupying an agent role in school and good at sustaining interpersonal relations.
