Abstract
Today, social media has become an inseparable part of our lives. Billions of people create accounts and contact with other users and make sharing in social media sites. One of the most popular social media sites is Twitter. By analyzing the data shared by people in social networks like Twitter, it becomes possible to extract information on various topics. Numerous academic studies have been published in this framework. In this study, a literature survey on social tendency researches on Twitter was done in recent years. The methods that are generally used in the studies are summarized and sample studies are presented under the intensively studied topics.
