Abstract

Social transformations are divided into three as agriculture, industry and information society. Although different effects such as economic, political and social are observed in the background of these transformations, in fact, people's desires to create different worlds and search for new realities are seen from another perspective. Art, people's desires to discover new worlds, acquire new realities from different angles and through different sense organs and nourishes their feelings of curiosity. From the paintings drawn by the primitive communities to the cave walls, to the handmade products in the agricultural society period, to the ready-made objects in the industrial period and to the digital works of the electronic period, all those that refer to the abstract or concrete expansions of the search for new reality. Communication tools that emerged with the electronic era have influenced the art as well as all areas of life. New production and sharing tools have been created for art. These innovations enabled art to evolve to another dimension.Today's human has been constructed with virtual reality systems that have ceased to be just a viewer and they can be included in the environments that are quite convincing in terms of reality. There are many possibilities within the boundaries of imagination, such as getting inside a painting, visiting a fully virtual art gallery, and producing your work in a virtual environment. In the study which will work mostly on the concept of reality, social transformation, its effects on art and applications of virtual reality systems in the art environment will be examined. Descriptive analysis method within the scope of qualitative analysis methods will be used in the study.
