Universal Verification Methodology Application of ARINC-429 for Airborne Electronic Hardware Certification

Abstract

As the complexity of modern avionics system increases, the safety becomes the most critical aspect for both the military and civil aviation applications. Therefore, every hardware which will be developed for any aircraft must be designed with the compliance of DO-254 processes. In this paper, the compliance of DO-254 processes using universal verification methodology (UVM) is presented by selecting ARINC-429 data bus as a digital subsystem design under verification.
