Yıldız Technical University, which conducts education, training, and research activities at the international level with the mission of nurturing individuals who contribute to societal needs and national competitiveness, and of implementing innovative ideas and practices, aims to provide all staff and students with an environment characterized by low carbon intensity and high quality of life.
Our university aims to integrate its environmental and quality policies into national and international energy strategies, promote energy efficiency, and increase the use of clean and renewable energy sources. With this in mind, the university envisions reaching the year 2030 with “100% Clean Energy”.
In line with this vision and objective, our energy efficiency policy is based on:

Designing operations with practices and technologies that minimize energy consumption, and planning processes to require the least amount of energy,

Prioritizing clean production technologies in all processes and using energy-efficient materials produced from renewable energy sources,

Promoting the efficient and smart use of energy, while raising awareness and sensitivity among employees, students, and all stakeholders,

Utilizing renewable energy sources to a greater extent and establishing a sustainable energy management system,

Designing buildings based on minimum energy usage and aligning them with national and international energy efficiency standards through efficiency-enhancing practices,

Contributing to the reduction of emissions originating from energy use,

Supporting industrial development through R&D activities in areas such as clean production, zero-emission alternative fuels, and energy storage, and developing collaborations with various stakeholders in these areas.
