Yıldız Technical University aims to become a pioneering institution nationally and a globally competitive university focused on R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It strives to contribute to national development, play a role in solving global challenges, encourage collaboration between university, public sector, and industry, and support interdisciplinary studies while equipping its community with innovative and contemporary skills and competencies.

Within this framework, the university’s policy to support sustainable industrialization and innovation includes:

  • Designing the necessary infrastructure for its activities to be of high quality, reliable, sustainable, and resilient,

  • Diversifying its activities by considering environmental impacts to promote sustainable economic growth and contributing to economic efficiency through the development of highly innovative technologies,

  • Equipping students with technical and vocational skills, encouraging entrepreneurship, and training individuals with the necessary competencies to contribute to employment and decent work,

  • Developing national and international projects and conducting R&D studies encompassing vocational training, information and communication technologies, technical, engineering, and scientific programs,

  • Establishing collaborations and partnerships for the commercialization and productization of R&D,

  • Contributing to the development of R&D capacities and access to inclusive and quality education in less developed and developing countries,

  • Organizing training, awareness, and activities aimed at increasing the number of R&D personnel per capita in industry and enhancing the technological competencies of industrial sectors.
